ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

"The National Society of the Daughter of the American Revolution, (DAR), was founded October 11, 1890; incorporated by an Act of the United States Congress in 1896. DAR Objectives: Historic Preservation, Promotion of Education and Patriotic Endeavor. DAR Motto: God, Home and Country. The Daughters of the American Revolution is a national society. Membership in the Society provides many opportunities to cherish our American Heritage of freedom, to preserve family and local histories, to promote celebration of our national holidays, to live patriotically, to support our national defense, to enjoy our beautiful member-owned buildings in Washington, D.C., and in Glendora, California, and to form friendships with others who share our love of God, Home and Country."
